The Red Rose Baseball Club is a sandlot baseball league for those that want to have a good time and relive their younger years again.  We're really simple, 5 pick-up games throughout the summer, 7 innings each - a perfect time to dust off your PF flyers, ball cap, and jersey and have more fun then you could ever muster on your own. 

I conceived the idea as an experiential marketing opportunity for Ellicott & Co., an American made boutique in Lancaster, PA. The idea was to celebrate America's favorite past time with some pickup baseball, while also creating a hypersegmented demographic of baseball lovers within the Ellicott customer base.

The project needed to be lightweight and automated since it was a small marketing effort to build brand-oriented content, not necessarily convert sales. The idea was to use an SMS based platform, that could automate an onboarding process and also serve as a communication tool with those who opt-in to the Baseball Club.

The project needed to be lightweight and automated since it was a small marketing effort to build brand-oriented content, not necessarily convert sales. The idea was to use an SMS based platform, that could automate an onboarding process and also serve as a communication tool with those who opt-in to the Baseball Club.

After some research and some help from our buds at Closeup FM, (thanks, Nathan) I built a system using Twilio, Text-It, and Zapier. Each serving the respective part in the chain, they allowed me to run a SMS marketing system on a shoe-string budget.
